The RCX II was unveiled in May 2006 at the XLR-8 competition. Imagine the 2005 RCX , but with an even higher level of finishing, detailing and new technology thanks to Sammy Cassar who designed all the electronics for the vehicle.
The bodywork was re-styled focusing on making the RCX an even more extreme show stopper. 80 % of the bodywork was rebuild, the paint job was an innovative artwork designed by Reuben Zammit, using a 'two face' scheme consisting of a glossy 4 tone artwork on one side and a dark matt black / black two tone artwork on the other.
The interior was build from scratch incorporating an inboard computer that controlled every electronic component of the car. Lights, indicators, doors, air suspensions etc. were controlled by voice command or through a touch screen.
For the third year running the Racer X team won the Extreme class together with other awards. The RCX II was rated as one of the top body styling competition cars internationally.
